Engine off!!
Do not remove or disturb the adjustments for the idle/WOT switches and you will
be OK. There is no need to anyway unless they are broken.
It has been a while since I did this, but you will have to remove:
breather hose clamp.
air temp sensor
ISV
6 bolts for top of throttle body
Then there are some allen head bolts for the lower throttle body and two vacuum
hoses.
With the lowwer TB off, you can see the linkage parts and clean up as needed.
Be sure you have all the bolts removed, and be careful not to break the rubber
gaskets. They are probably old and hard. In fact, it would not hurt to replace
them if you can get them.
Re-assembly is just the reverse, but carefully tighten the upper TB bolts a
little at a time. The sealing surfaces are 90 degrees from each other so you
need to get a good seal on both sides. As always, a torque wrench is a good idea
to prevent warping anything.
