[V8] Audi S8

I know this may be heresy but I have been thinking about picking up a 
2002 or 2001 S8 , does anyone on the list have experience with the car 
, good bad or just plain ugly? I have not had any recent problems with 
the V8 but it will be due for a timing belt soon and I am having 
thoughts about moving to another Audi . I looked at a couple of A8s was 
not to terribly impressed but figured the S8 may be interesting
