YMMV of course, but the California cars do not have a vented cap ... remember the vapor recovery system. I guess neither of my V8s is a California model anyway ... and neither of them has a vented cap. If you are building up pressure in the tank it is likely that your evaporative emission recovery system is not working properly ...
