Could be too, but would the problem go away as soon as the car warms up?
Bad breather hoses on the V8Q's have had no effect on my cars in the
past, aside from some undesirable smell/smoke. Only knew they were bad
when I reached back looking for a hose and only found a handful of goo.
The vacuum leak problems on the V8Q's usually pronounce themselves under
acceleration, if at all, I've had open vacuum lines on a couple of
occasions with no noticeable effects at idle/cold.
You're right in that these things should still be checked, but my BTDT
tells me the problem lies elsewhere....that being said, I hope I'm wrong
and it's nothing more than a loose hose somewhere...I LOVE when that
happens.
