What used to be called the Annual Audi Owners Gathering in Burien (near
Seattle) is in its 6th year, and bigger than ever. There were people there
from Idaho, Colorado, Alaska, and one guy who drove 24hrs from the Yukon
Territory in his ueber-rare (one of 3 left in Canada!) Saddle Brown '83 4000
1.6l diesel in mint condition.

I have my pictures uploaded here:
www.MyV8Q.com/pics/6AAOG

I spoke to the lady who owns the Mouse Grey (2 door) A3 (in rusty German!)
She is on a 2 year assignment in Washington and brought her car with her; I
was wondering how someone was able to bring one of those in to the States...
Perhaps she will want to sell it to me instead of shipping it back to Europe
:-)

Q7 is kinda cool, but very large and gets crappy mileage. I would like to
see it in a TDI, which allegedly will be the first TDI imported to the
States next (?) year. I still prefer the looks of the Touareg.

Other highlights were the 1974 100LS in semi-rough, yet original condition.
It had the auto magazine add touting 'the only car in the world to get
24mpg.

There was an '83(?) 5k diesel in decent shape and an Alpine White '85 UrQ in
near show room condition shape with 50,051 original miles.

There were 4 or so RS6, and one new RS4 there. Many nice rides turned out,
but only 4 V8Qs, 2 of which were for sale...

Hope we can get a bigger representation next year, perhaps my pictures will
entice you :-)

Cheers,

- Jeremy

BTW, Ingo my mileage with the new thermostat is now close to 23mpg on the
freeway.
