Thanks John! This is something I've been wanting to do for a while now ... in fact I posted about it last week on the big list ... check the archives there for other solutions.
For those of you with '92-on cars I expect this will work perfectly ... but the Blaupunkt Delta CD changer solution is not integrated into the deck ... i.e. there is no changer interface built into the Delta.
The situation is very easy to change however, switch to a Blaupunkt Gamma deck and you gain the direct changer interface. Actually, ISTR that some of the Gamma decks don't support a changer, so caveat "emptor" ... check Ti Kan's website for info on the various stereo configurations.
What I want to do is to actually control the iPod from the stereo directly ... I have not dug into this solution to see if it has hooks for this ...
