[V8] Noise that is driving me absolutely CRAZY!!

I will second that motion...

My oil pump bearing radiated noise all over the place - mostly on the right side
and oddly, it really seemed to come from the back of the head near the
distributor. I have a really nice stethoscope(sp?) too. It is a tricky tool to
use.

Also, did you try running the motor with the serpintine belt off to eliminate
all of those bearings? If any of the fan bearings make noise, it gets amplified
by the timing belt cover.
