[V8] Noise that is driving me absolutely CRAZY!!

Does it sound like a turkey gobbling?  On the I-5 turbos,
this was a problem:

I think the issue was a mis-aligned or bad idler pulley and/or
a misaligned or bad water pump.  But googling:

Found this:

which says it was "sludge" in the distributor bearings.

I'd look at all three areas.  It may just be a problem on
the V8, too.
