[V8] Unexplained noise

I purchased a 93 V8 in June. Of course the first thing I had done was the timing belt. While driving it a couple of days after that there seemed to be a rattling noise that disappeared. From then on I heard a fan/engine noise when the engine warmed up and the climate control was on. Thinking I had a bad blower fan I began experimenting with different fan speeds to see if there was one that was quieter. No luck. I pulled up at a friends and he said there was a loud rattling noise coming from the engine. I began poking around the front of the engine and discovered the small shock absorber that is attached to the passenger side of the engine. The top bolt was out. I went to the Lowe's store and got a bolt that fit, loctited it in and presto no noise. I drove it a couple of months and the noise was back, but went away when I braked. NOW I was definitely sure it was the blower. Coincidentally, I wanted to improve gas mileage and decided to go from 36 psi to 42 psi in the tire
s. The noise was gone. Moral of the story: What other car has a shock absorber on the engine and you can fix a fan/engine noise by inflating the tires. Gee I must hava V8!!!
