[V8] Pentosin Replacement Oil

I have been using the Mobil DTE-13M for 3 years. Works well, however,
below 35F or so, the steering is sluggish for the first 20 or 30 seconds
after starting vehicle. Probably would not recommend for areas of
extreme cold.
Got mine from a local lube and oil supply house, about $35/ 5 gallon
bucket.
Keep and old Pentosin can filled with DTE in the trunk in the small
compartment on the left side, fits nicely.

I've been using Mobil DTE-13M for several years. I paid around
$50.00 for a 5 gallon pail.

I found my area distributor through the ExxonMobil website. They in
turn gave me the names of commercial customers with accounts in my
area. Turned out one of them was my local Chevy dealer. I called
them, they ordered me a pail, gave me a discount, and had it
delivered to their shop for pick-up.

Jeff

P.S. I kept my last Pentosin 11S can so it seems exactly the same
when I pour it in :)

I know this has been discussed earlier on the list.

What is the properties of the Pentosin for the hydraulic system? I
know that Mobil/Shell/Chevron all make equivalent mineral oils for
this purpose.

What experience has anyone had with these oils? Do you need to
change the oil more often? What brand/type is used for climates
that can dip below zero and climates that rarely freeze?

Please let me know the manufacturer and their part number for the
oils.

Owning 4 Audis, I figure this would save me $100s.

Thank you,

Scott.
