[V8] Weird 4.2 occurance - anyone else? And, blown 4.2 on ebay

Sounds like the wires in the rubber boot between the driver's door 
and the door jamb have succumed to repeated door openings.  
Peel back the rubber boot and look for broken and frayed wires.  

The fix is to splice in a length of new wire. The choice to solder or
wire crimp is yours, but if you crimp, use a good ratcheting crimper. 
When you are done, tuck the new joints into the door and jamb, so 
the new wire spans the gap between door and jamb.
