If you say "No", then I'd suspect an electrical gremlin. Based
on my sad history, I'd look first at the ignition switch. But
then, when I had a "won't start, won't even click" situation
with my 100 S (V6, auto), I replaced the switch to no avail.
It turned out to be the starter.
Cleaning electrical connections is cheap (but time consuming).
Go for the obvious first: battery connections and connections
to the starter motor.
I would have also guessed it may also be tied into the automatic
transmission interlock -- it thinks you're in gear so won't start,
but then it shouldn't go click, either.
