[V8] Airbag warning light

I have owned my V8Q for about 6 months now.  Since I have owned it, the airbag light comes on for about 2 minutes on start-up and then turns off.  How do I interpret that? Has it decided that it actually does function properly, or is Audi trying to avoid overloading me with information by turning the light off after some period of time even though the airbag has a problem?
