Ha..well a similiar thing happened to me once. So the
next day I went to the local DMV to get a vanity plate
for my v8.
So now when people are like "what kinda car is that?"
I point to my licsence plate wich says it
all..ITSAV8!!

want an easy car to work on, try a jeep wrangler.
Parts are cheap and
you can get them anywhere. I have heard the exact same
thing too, but I
get, "I don't see a 90 v8 quattro". Me:" a 1990 v8
quattro, the model
is
a v8 quattro, that's it", them:"I still don't see it,
oh wait here is a
90, ohh sorry here it is v8 quattro," me thinking,
"what morons, I
should go work there, what an easy job"

I know what you mean - I hear so many people talk
about how hard this
car is to work on - I could not disagree more! It is
by far the
easiest
car I have ever worked on, and I have done everything
from the fuel
pump
to the engine and transmmission - and I have worked on
a whole lot of
cars. I think people get scared when no one even
knows what the car
really is - I'm sure everyone here has gone into a
parts store and
said:
"its an Audi v8" to hear the common response: "I know
its a v8 but what
model is it?".
I really do love these cars and I too worry about
parts availibility -
If I can talk my wife into it maby I too will enjoy
the time these cars
have here on earth.
Thanks,
Jason
