[V8] defogger

Top part?  Not just those two horizontal lines at the top, I hope?   
If so, then somebody's switched the am antenna leads with the rear  
defogger and you need to correct this.

Otherwise you likely have a break in the defroster "paint' coating  
along one of the vertical grid lines (either left or right).  You  
could try one of those defogger repair kits at your local FLAPS  
(Friendly Local Auto Parts Store).
