[V8] Oil Weight

The oil leaks I would not be concerned about. Like most everyone has already
said, most of the cars already leak oil and being in the automotive service
industry I can tell you that very few vehicles spring new leaks due to
changing from dyno oil to synthetic. Yes, the "varnish" that may be coating
older seals that the synthetic oil cleans away is true. However if the seal
leaks because that "varnish" is gone away, the seal was bad to start with,
or it was just being held together by a temporary patch or band-aid, the
"varnish" on the sealing surface.

However..... In the case of the V8 engines, I WOULD WORRY about the fact
that they run very low tension rings on the pistons due to their unique
block and piston design. Synthetic oil, due to it's unique molecular
structure which coats surfaces much better than dyno oil (impregnates the
metal pores better) can in some (certainly not all, those of you who have
used it without problems) cases cause excessive oil blowby past the rings
and cause the vehicle to use or burn more oil than some of us may like or
leave the fun "blue cloud" behind us as we accelerate.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the help on the coolant gauge/ fuel gauge question everyone!!!

Kyle
