[V8] Front Motor Mount

I replaced the front motor mount (the one that connects the front of the
timing belt cover to the frame rail) on our 5 speed approx. 20k miles ago
when I did the timing belt. I replaced it because it was broken (duh) and
now it's broken again and who knows how long it's been like that. I only
noticed it because I am doing the serp belt and fan clutch.
Has anyone else encountered this? How can this part only last 20k miles
(maybe less)? The car is NEVER tracked, never abused, hardly ever sees
anything faster than the speed limit and my wife stops at ONE traffic light
on her drive to work. The two motor mounts on the side of the block and the
tranny mounts were replaced at the same time, so I don't think the motor is
sitting "Low" or anything like that, that would cause undue stress on the
front one.
Just curious I guess, not to mention that I would prefer NOT to buy a $45
every 20k miles.
Ben
