You too?
After a monumental battle of re-installing my transmission by myself, with the
car only high enough off the ground that I had to slide the bell housing through
the wheel well, I hooked up and bled the clutch slave. The clutch pedal was so
easy to push in I convinced myself I had forgotten the throw out bearing. I had
to stop and think hard about pulling the transmission back out now or waiting
untill it was fully re-assembled to find out I did something wrong. I had to go
sleep on it it was so depressing. I decided pull it back enough to see that I
had in fact install it properly. I now know that a hard to operate clutch is a
common Audi symptom of a toasted clutch.
Live and learn I guess... (and it has been fine ever since)
