Nobody refers to cars by the year they were sold.
It's always model
year. Going from memory, I recall something like 77
V8Q's being sold in
1994, 70 of those were 1994's, and 7 were leftover
1983's. There was 1
confirmed 1995 V8Q in the states. The insurance
companies use model year
for their statistics, not year of sale.
As for the euro-box, I've never heard of this one, but
it might have been
a Canadian model, or a "temporary" import that never
made it home. You'd
figure that if a Euro model was brought over, for
whatever reason, it
should have been a lang.
Just like there were NEVER any 1990 5 spds sold in the
US, yet a few of
us on this list have seen or owned a 1990 V8Q factory
5spd. I went for a
ride in the nonexistent US spec. 1990 5 spd owned by
former lister Joe
Fritz. When challenged on the point, he would pull
out the original US
window sticker and remove all doubt.
On that note, anyone know what ever happened to Fritz?
He was a really
nice guy, just dropped off the face of the earth a few
years ago.
