To pull the driveshaft on either side, loosen the axle bolt and then raise
the car/remove the wheel. Keep other wheel on the ground (unless you have
UFOs). Clean out the triple square recessed heads (I spray with a solvent
or WD40, dig around the hole with a scratchawl and then blow out the
recess) and apply a 10mm triple square driver. I use one attached to a
socket on the end of a long extension so I can swing my wrench outside the
wheelwell. I stick the driver into the bolt recess and then tap the
extension with a rubber mallet before employing the ratchet. Using this
system, you have to keep lifting the other side and rotating a few degrees
to get easy access to the bolts all around. Once all the bolts are loose,
tap the CV some with a rubber mallet until it comes loose. Then get all
the bolt threads clear of the tranny flange and pull the assembly free. I
usually remove one bolt and run a zip tie through the hole to keep all the
CV parts together. Once free from the flange, raise the flange end of the
axle and prop it up above its normal location. Now remove the axle bolt
and turn the wheels the opposite direction of the axle you're extracting.
In your passenger side example, turn the wheels to the left. Use either a
long socket (I have a 7/8" one that slips inside the hub splines just fine)
or a similarly thick dowel to tap on to push the outer cv from the hub. It
may resist a bit and then come suddenly, so be prepared to catch the baby.
This arrangement leaves the ball joint and alignment system intact. If you
have UFO's, you can see how I stop the axle turning while loosening the
axle flange bolts here:

other direction for tightening.
