[V8] the verdict is in

... I also count myself as lucky in this regard ... my wife likes the V8 a lot ... and she understands that there are prices to be paid for owning older cars, but the benefits in car payments and insurance costs tend to outweigh the costs.  Of course the V8 is a pretty nice car ... my neighbors are still amazed that the car looks as good as it does for a 16 year old vehicle.  Yes, we just put a little over $2K into #2, but that resolved all of the issues with the car (other than the heater core, which I need to do soon) ... so she can drive around in a car she can trust ... and with the new struts and bushings its driving *very* nicely now ...

... ditto on the motorcycle thing.  Well, I guess that was a requirement for SO on my part ... the motorcycles were there long before she was!  I may well give them up some day, but it will be my choice ...
