[V8] So what is bad/going bad here?

Sorry Ingo,
no real insights there, my only rear end noise is some interference from
dying brake rotor shields.  I do have a humdinger in the front though.  The
noise a radio amp/speaker makes when its going bad, a sort of static pop.
I think we've all heard it.  Seems to be coming from the from dash speaker
space, and my wife says from the rear as well.  I would have immediately
blamed the Front Pass Bose, but it was out of the car for a rebuild, also
the noise comes when thee radio is off but the car is on.  Once every 90
seconds or so until road noise of radio drowns it out.

As you know, I recently (with the help of Tim Hollister) got the V8 5
speed up and running again.  She had been sitting for over a year.
Anyhow, I have to take the IC apart again to see why the temp guage
is pegged all the way to the right with the car on or off.
