[V8] So what is bad/going bad here?

Well,

Scott, Mark, Bill and George had it:  E-brake cable (driver's side)  
catching on the driveshaft. Pushed it out of the way temporarily.  I  
think I still have a brand new set of cables that I'd bought for my  
old '91 200q20v - like six or eight YEARS ago.  Guess i'll have to  
dig them up.

Will check out the sending units on for the temp gauge before  
removing the IC.  Thanks for the suggestion there, Bill.
