[V8] Instrument cluster woes

I never have, either.

To remove the dashpad you need to remove the two dashpad speaker  
grills, the top stearing column cover (may or may not require removal  
of steering wheel), removal of (left) outer vent,  (center) right  
vent, and (right) inner vent to access and remove the 4mm allen  
screws and don't forget  the one in the center defroster vent at the  
front windshield - can only be seen from outside the car. This is  
only if the dash pad has never been removed or was previously  
replaced by a perfectionist - which I apparently was when I'd finally  
done the IC fix a few years back)

Ingo mit V8 5 spd presently with 3 vents removed and sans dashpad...
