[V8] Roger's dilemma

I'd go for the 20v in a heartbeat (having had both). The idea of a
potential automatic transmission failure in the V8 zeroing out the car's
value leaves me cold.

Subject: [V8] Roger's dilemma

I think I'm catching Roger's disease. I stopped by my local Audi
emporium to inquire about the two 4.2L V8s he has. Each has some good
points, each has some bad points. Neither shouted "Take me home" (but if
you could put the best of both together, it would).

I asked about a 20V I knew he had. That one was cheap enough, but it
had some major issues (like the clearcoat flaking off). He also said he
has a black avant. My first reaction was "No", as I think its looks have
become dated, but seeing it in the flesh has altered my opinion. I want.

So there's the dilemma -- a 4.2L V8 or a 20V Avant?
