[V8] got my avant back - towing, etc.

I've towed a 200 20V on a 200 lb trailer behind a 5-speed 140 horse Ranger,
and had no problems. I also towed a 2400lb Sundance behind a 40 hp or so
Diesel Jetta, on a 400 lb tow dolly. The key to not killing the clutch is
allowing the engine to bog below what normally feels comfortable. Well, with
the Jetta there was a bit of clutch wear ;-)
Of course, I prefer an automatic in the tow vehicles, but for reasons of
economics, sometimes I choose otherwise.
