[V8] High Current Drain

I have a suggestion for your circuit, if I may...
Instead of moving the fuse from the circuit to the socket, install a fuse in
the socket that's slightly smaller than the fuse in the meter and just leave
it there. If the meter is set to measure small currents, it will either be
internally fused at 1a or so or it will have no fuse at all. Any accident
will either fry the meter fuse or fry the meter. If you put a small fuse in the
socket (like 1a) it will protect the meter and be easily replaceable. A
fried meter is especially vexing 'cause it will read "0" and you will
erroneously conclude that there's no draw in the circuit (BTDT many times).
