[V8] track F/R and fun stuff.....:-)

Well, having followed this thread has helped me to make one HUGE decision. I
have a 1986 5000 TQ that is in excellent condition. It does, however, have a
bad engine. It will be getting a V8, and will be primarily a track car. I'm
NOT stripping it, it's not getting a roll cage, or anything crazy. It's just
an extra car, and set up the way it is, that is how it fits best into my
"stable". The main thing it needs to be track ready (aside from the engine)
is a brake upgrade. Oh, and some 5-point harnesses.

I have parted quite a few Audi's, one of them being a V8. This discussion
has brought to light the advantages of widening the track, and I'll be
putting the front and rear suspension from the V8Q onto it. I guess I'll be
doing something with the rear Quarter panels after all :(

Thank you Scott, Dave, Al, and Jack, and the rest for all the info provided,

Tony Hoffman
