[V8] Of Honeydews and unwanted hitchikers

oh, the Honey-Do's -- I'm familiar with those.  Don't need to be  
married for those.  A serious girlfriend has a great command of those  
as well ;-)

I must have had my mind somewhere else as I'd picked up an unwanted  
hitchhiker (at least that's when I discovered the little critter) on  
my way back from Traverse City, MI  last night (sorry we couldn't get  
together, Kneale) when I stopped for gas and went to check the oil:

Drove all the way back with me, and I was hoping my wires weren't  
going to be chewed through and I was thinking how I'd get rid of the  
little bugger, but then he got nervous when I had slowed down in the  
city three and a half hours later and rang up some 7k rpm shifts.   
I'm sitting at a light two miles from my house and it's not well-lit  
outside, so all I can really see is my headlights on the road in  
front of me suddenly there's this moving silhouette running along my  
windshield wipers!  So I turned the wipers on high and he's hanging  
on to the driver's side one, and I pop the clutch at 2.5 grand and  
make a sharp turn, flooring it and tick, tick, tick, woooeee!!!   
There he goes!  Flying lesson anyone? Lol.
