There are two auto V8s in my yard.
As Q-ships notes, Mike Fisher had the black manual V8. Last time I saw it was last fall in the lot behind Traverse Motors (Audi dealer). Repair shop folks said it was leaking a pint of oil a minute from various spots. I'd heard earlier that he was having oil leaks "fixed" repeatedly. There was a big pool of oil under the engine the day I saw it. I don't have his home contact, but he owns a company called Northern Stainless Fabricating, Inc., and apparently can be reached at mike at nsfi.com.

I wish!! The '91 is not a 5 speed. I bought about a month ago as a
parts
car for my '92. I may put it up for sale this summer. The only
thing it needs
(per the previous owner) is a heater hose that goes into the heater
core, a
battery and a good cleaning.
I spent many a day in Suttons Bay, Traverse City, Leland, etc...
I've been
going up there since I was about 2. I'm 35 now so you can imagine
that I
have a fairly good memory of the area.
Maybe you can help me out. There was a guy in Leland(or surrounding
areas)
that had a black V8 stick. Used to race it a bit as far as I knew
and had a
nice after market exhaust on it. I even think that the license plate
said quattro.
I was talking to him about buying it some years ago and lost his
contact info.
You wouldn't happen to know the guy and or what happened to the car?
