Are you asking what's "out there" in this area?

Quote " Any
other cosmetic or performance
mods would be greatly appreciated."

Cause that's gonna be tough. There are allot of the "standard" mods that
make a big difference in drivability and functionality but beyond that,
choices get well .."personal"..if you know what I mean.

So from what I've gleened since my V8 ownership here are the "standard"
mods:

Fix it.
Fix it again. (LOL)
Finally fix it right. (ROTF)

Ok.. seriously:

Depending on if the car has UFO's or G60's Look for a BBK (Big Brake
Kit).. Replace the calipers from a Porsche 993 and larger rotors.

Struts: Buy the best you can afford..it does make a difference (I know
now).. V8#1.. cheaped out and went KYB Gas.. vast improvement over the
stock ones, but V8#2 has Bilsteins SP and the difference is night and
day in a corner and just general driving.

Springs: not many choices out there and most will lower the car.
Personal preference, but a word of advice and many may disagree..I have
personal experience with H&R's and one of my front's broke and I have
heard that same issue from others. I wouldn't choose them again.

Very Rare but doable- the 1992 (only) S4 or rarer still is a 95.5 S6's
came with a rear swaybar, that subframe and bar will bolt on the V8 and
help the body roll out a bit. Then there is a Happerized replacement bar
that is stiffer still.

Wheels and Tire: TOTALLY Personal.

Exhaust: Setbro, Stromung Custom and OEM.. not much out there and they
all are fairly $$

Engine.. ECU Chips and that's about it. Unless you get past the standard
stuff then open your wallet and have some fun...

Interior: Replace the Comfort Seats (and OE Sport Seats for that matter)
with the Sport Seats from a UrS4/UrS6 that have the lower adjustment.

Lot's a talk about the "wool headliner".. just have it professionally
done..

Replace the OE Rearview Mirror with one that has the compass and
Homelink built-in (also auto-dimming)( get power for it from the
maplight in the sunroof area) or even a Bluetooth speakerphone equipped
one.

Of course the Euroheadlights and clear or smoked tails and corners and
don't forget the side markers.

2Bennett Camber Plates. Almost a must have. Unless you read S-car.org

Stereo: with the Bose stuff in correct working order, it sounds very
good so I'd leave it, sky the limit there otherwise.

Trunk. Replace the panio springs with gas struts from a later V8 and
also the early cars didn't have that nice trunk rook liner.

Getting really out there and even harder to find, a rear window that has
the fine defogger lines and Quattro, vs. the stock one that looks like
they are on "every other rear window"

Well that's my standard list of mods' collected thus far.

Outside of that, there lots of engine tweaking you can do, convert the
car to a 5 or 6 speed.. when $$ are no object you can do allot.

Hope that helps..

Scott
