[V8] background on the 94 that was on ebay?

Thanks all for the responses. I think that at this point I am going
to direct him towards an A8. I had not thought of that before believe
it or not. Guess I am stuck in the mindset of S8, owning a V8 and S6
this is only natural. However after it being mentioned it did make
more sense for him to look into an A8 Vs. the V8. He does need an
auto FWIW.

I think the V8 is a nice example, but do remember now the not so
pleasant exchanges with the owner here on the list.

He declined my offer of $7K or $7500 with inspection. I figured even
if he took the $7K offer it would be worth it or he could let me come
and inspect it and without obligation and get another $500 for it.
Not in his plans as he said he has already turned down an $8500 offer.

Realistically $9-10K is too much for me/him, considering it should be
driven straight to a timing belt change etc... I could see someone
who is a well off enthusisast justifying the $9-10K price though, the
car is super clean and being a 94 one of the rarest autos out there.
Isn't there only like 3 94's in the US? If I was a dentist or
something it would be in my garage right now.

Thanks again...this list continues to rock 7 years after joining!
