[V8] Rear Sway Bars

This is an ongoing debate with the no-rear-bar contigent in the lead. But I am in the minority as I think the car would benefit from adding a smallish rsb and retaining the stock fsb.

While I respect the input of those against it, even to the point of not having added on on my koni/h&r 5-speed, I'm no slouch on the racetrack myself (save the judge smails jokes), and have learned a lot from the seat of my pants -- and what it takes to rotate this thing is enough to make me certain that I'd be a fool to not at least fit a rsb and compare.

Reality is that it all comes down to driving style and environment. And although I don't track the V8, I get my fair share of jollies from it. So until I see side by side laptimes with and without, I'm-a-gonna install one.

As a post script, I hadn't considered the streetability aspect. Sway bars to me have been about optimzing weight (mass) transfer, where day to day pothole traversing wouldn't factor as much -- but I got some added smoothness / non-bounce out of the deal, it'd be a bonus.

I'd say so. I know for my coupe (t89) I was going to go to the 28mm RS2
front bar and the 24mm stock front bar in the rear since they are almost
identical systems F/R. I'd figure same is true for the V8q, except the
geometry is different F/R, but size ratio should still apply.

Also I was up and the local stealership and they had an eibach(I think)
setup for I think an TT maybe A3 (to small for anything else) and it had
32mm front and 26mm rear sway bars. That tells me that it most work as
eibach really doesn't F' around with shit that doesn't work.

Some people have said you don't need sway bars on these cars they do better
with out them. Well I'm having one of the best 928 driver's around help me
with mine and he is a suspension guru. He can take any car drive it and
know what it takes to make it faster with out making it dangerous or scary.
His comment was yes with stiff enough springs you don't need sway bars, but
on the street those springs mean that every pot hole, ever stick you feel in
the seat of your pants. Imagine riding a horse bare back at a full gallop.
Fine for short busts or on perfectly smooth areas, but across rough terrain
your going to be in for a serious hurting.

Is there any interest in a bigger front bar?
