Have you checked the Oil Sending units above the alternator. THere is a gasket that does seep on the oil manifold.
Worth a try to look.
Scott.

My 92 V8 4.2 is still leaking oil, and we can't figure out where it's
coming from.
We have changed the sealing rings at the crank and the oil pump, and
that
made an improvement. It's still leaking, but not in the same way.
Before there was a flow of oil from the crank, not anymore; it's gone.
I used VW's special tools for this.
But there is still drops of oil coming from the front of the car, and
the
alternator belt is soaked in oil. The alternator is also smudged with
oil.
Is there any common places these engines tend to leak?
/Dag B.
