New and rebuilt R134 compressors are exactly the same, same lines, mounts
ect. depending on the application and vendor. Couldn't even find a
vendor who still sold R12 compressor for the Mercyless Benz (R12 not a
prob., (stocked up @ $40 ea. 30lb when writing was on the wall) R134 is
a definite downgrade in a R12 system, had to rig the electric fan so it's
on all the time to get any decent AC performance out of the Benz, YMMV.
Wish I could have found an R12 for performance reasons alone.
