[V8] A/C Compressor

I did a comparison of the VOV (Variable orifice valve) and a standard orifice tube on a 1986 5000 I converted to R134 and in my opinon it's well worth the additional 22 bucks.

After installation of the VOV
I found I got about 1 mpg better with the A/C on.
The compressor ran a bit quiter at full cool.
The drop in engine speed was less noticable when the compressor kicked on.
Vent temps were a few degrees cooler (granted outside temps fluctuated a bit).
There seemed to be less strain on the engine (130hp ng) with the A/C on.
YMMV of course....
Scott
