[V8] squeak

I have generally disagreed with most of the publicly stated opinions
of Bilstein HD shocks. I have found them to be very uncomfortable and
uncharacteristic of the vehicle. When fully exercised they control
well, but in normal, around-town driving, they have no "comfort zone",
i.e. you will feel every ridge, ripple, and pebble in the road. I
have tried various different wheel/tire combinations as well. The
shocks were installed in 2000 and have not seemed to relax. The Avant
I bought last year has a set which were installed many, many more
miles ago than in my V8 and they exhibit much the same behavior. The
Koni/H&R combo in my 93 V8 actually rides smoother and more
comfortably over the same roads. (I still don't like the pogo motions
over larger, more abrupt undulations).
If however you drive around with a full passenger load most of the
time, you'll love them.

> Ok guys, I have decided I will do new shocks. I hear Bilstein are the best. Besides the shocks all the rubber components that look like condoms around the shocks are torn. I will need to replace these along with those camber links you guys mentioned. While I'm down there, anything else? Oh, yes, I did my brakes. I purchased EBC brake pads, the red stuff, man what a difference. There's no sponginess to my brakes anymore. I overhauled my rear sliders, installed brake pads all around, and new UFOs. The slight vibration I was getting at 85+ is gone. Thank you guys for all the input on the brake pads. Now I need to tackle my shocks.
