I have them with stock springs in both cases. I started out with
stock BBS wheels and 225/60-15 tires. I've had many different other
sets. The best have been my snow tires/wheels and probably the
225/50-16 SP8000 on the optional OEM 16x8 BBS wheels. All the 17's I
have are stones so I can't be sure what I was feeling then.
I do feel it is mostly due to the interaction between tire and
suspension. But no matter what, for me, the HD's don't have a
sufficient "comfort zone" for small imperfections. I'm hesitant to go
with Boge's because I feel they might be too far the other way, too
soft. I have a set of Koni Reds that I was going to use in place of
the HDs, but haven't installed them yet. In my black car with the
H&R's, they have the compliance for minor stuff that the HD's lack.
Not sure how they'll do with the stock springs.
I think I'm going to try Monroe Sensatracs in the Avant. If they
don't work for me there, I'll put them in the 90 V8 (GF's car).

I will need to replace these along with those camber links you guys mentioned. While I'm down there, anything else? Oh, yes, I did my brakes. I purchased EBC brake pads, the red stuff, man what a difference. There's no sponginess to my brakes anymore. I overhauled my rear sliders, installed brake pads all around, and new UFOs. The slight vibration I was getting at 85+ is gone. Thank you guys for all the input on the brake pads. Now I need to tackle my shocks.
