... I hope that you had the pads replaced because they were worn, not just because the wear indicators were telling you they were ...
The wear sensors sit out near the edge of the rotor, and if you have a bit of wear on the rotor proper a ridge will develop right where the wear indicator sits. Those blasted sensors are something like $40 each ... and that is above and beyond what the pads cost! I learned this lesson with the last set of pads I installed on #2 ... that's when I just cut the wires to the sensor, stripped the ends and soldered them together. I keep an eye on the pads on a regular basis, I don't need the dash telling me. Funny, with the work I just had done on #2 the rotors and pads were replaced, but I noticed the guy who did it left my "sensors" in place ... no problem as I would not have wanted to shell out $80 to replace them!
The thing I wanted to mention though ... sometimes the warning will go off because of bad connections in the connectors at the hub being flaky ... it never hurts to hit them with some DeoxIt ...
