Cardboard?

Bill Bill Bill...

Watch the roadside for
one of those political campaign signs. They probably litter the
countryside just like they do here. They seem to usually be made from a
plastic cardboard that works great for a radiator cover, and do not fall
apart when they get wet.

And just to chime in on the oil leak
search, I like to just hose the whole engine compartment off at the car
wash. You have to be careful with connectors and distributors, but I do it
all the time and have never had a big problem. You can tape over the
distributor vent holes if you really want to. I remove the air cleaner box
too and just stuff a big rag in the intake. If you go that far, don't
forget to remove the honeycomb thingy, and don't damage the MAF with the
rag.
This gives you good cleaning access to the rack connections and
the pump connections too.
