[V8] Koni Sport Settings

I have Hankook V4ES tires, I'll have to check exact size, I don't recall
exactly, thinking 255/45-17. Running 17" Snowflake S-Car wheels with the
45mm offset. I have 25mm H&R spacers ala Jeremy, very minor rubbing
rear of wheel well at full lock at parking lot speeds. They do look very
nice, give the car a nice aggressive stance and push the tires out into
wheel wells. These tires have been great, a nice balance of dry
performance and traction in the snow and wet conditions(which we have
had plenty of this year!). I initially set my Koni Sport's at 90 degrees
front and rear. Running stock springs. For my tastes and driving habits
in the V8, the ride was too stiff. Pulled the rears and put to full
soft, still too stiff. Pulled off strut mounts, and bounce rubber, put
allen head socket on shock, fully compressed and set the fronts back to
full soft as well. The ride is acceptable, still very firm, however, I
will probably switch to a Boge Turbo gas or equivalent as the Koni's are
just a little too stiff for how I use the V8. The car does handle very
well on the occasional on ramp test flogging.
BK, carefully watching the older S8's on ebay.

Subject: [V8] Koni Sport Settings
For all the GB Koni participants -
What is the thinking about the settings for the install of these Koni
Sports I have just installed H&Rs with the Konis. I hope my 255/40-17
tires w/ A6 4.2 Speedlines still fit under the fenders. I have used the
Tokico Adjustable-5s in the past, but they are externally adjustable.
I set my Konis to 270 degrees for the front and 180 degrees for the
rear. What setting did you guys use for your Konis? What are your
experinces
They have 720 degrees of setting range total. I actually could rotate
them about 765 degrees.
I do not want it too extreme. I want great handling and will accept some
sacrifice in ride. I can go back in to make a setting change. I'm sure
everyone that was part of the GB pondered this question a few times.
Thanks,
Scott.
