[V8] Low compression - Baffled

As stated in the original post, I have fuel and spark, The oil level is good
and doesn't smell of the slightest of fuel. I just replaced the plugs, not
that that matters with 40 psi (and less) of compression. I think I have an
idea after talking ot a fellow lister that the head gaskets blew, although
neither I nor he knows why. Well maybe 325k is why. Anyhow, I'm going to
squirt some oil into the cylinders tomorrow and try again, but I think I'm
at the crossroads of whether to 4.2 this one, or junk it. Thanks for the
help, though.
