[V8] Low compression - Baffled

I forgot to plug one of my coils in one time and could not figure out
why it ran so bad. Started right up, almost, but ran and drove it around
the block swearing, till I popped the hood and found the driver side
coil unplugged. Moral of the story says, I was able to start on 4 and
drive, 3 should be able to start it.

Boy, did I mis-read that. I saw cylinders 3-4-5 were low, and somehow
saw higher numbers on the remaining ones.

Can valves stick open from lack of use? That would be my next guess.
With the valve covers off, I'd squirt some PB Blaster on the valve
guides and let it sit. Repeat every day for a week, then put the valve
covers back on and give it another try.
