No one says your viewpoint is any different than mine.  The code was dropped on me by a friend at VDO Germany, AFAIK it is a product of his blood sweat and dollars to deveolop.  He has done work for 10V turbos and 20V cars.  If we do get a nice output, I would also suggest some alms to him per chip someone burns.

Keep in mind that copying the code (aka the hex on the chip) someone has
spent blood, sweat, and dollars to develop is unethical and could be viewed
as stealing.

Not trying to be a jerk, just bringing a different viewpoint to the group.
