[V8] Chips

Jeremy's got a great point -- which begs the question:  Is ned's chip the same for autos and 5-speed ECUs?  The intellectual property issue may be moot if there's enough of a (any) difference between the auto version and the 5-speed version.  

Reason I mention this is because I've got a '91 IA chip that I pulled from my old 5-speed ECU but have held off installing in the replacement brain because it didn't seem to have any benefit when I was running it -- in fact, my friend's old PT 5-spd car with 200k-plus felt just as snappy across the entire rev range if not moreso than my same car did when mine had the PT motor.  And that was both before and after I did a fairly extensive top end rebuild.

Anyhoo...

Keep in mind that copying the code (aka the hex on the chip) someone has
