No idea about the range rover, or Jeep Commander, but an ex coworker of mine did have the LX4??.
The lexus was either a 2004 or 2005 model, but I don't think they've changed that much since then. The build quality on the lexus was very good. It looks like a truck but the interior fit and finish was at a very high level. The vehicle is huge on the outside but curiously is a bit tight inside. The driver and front passenger have plenty of room, while the second row was good for average sized adults. The third set of seats was only comfortable for kids. The ride was typical big suv. It floated over bumps and leaned alarmingly in tight moderately fast turns. The lexus was very quiet on the highway. That's about all I recall from my brief lunch time rides in it.

Take a look at the Chrysler Pacifica, it has a lot of interior space, has awd and should handle a little better. The interior quality of the Pacifica doesn't match the lexus, but it isn't that bad.
