[V8] Causes of Bad MPG?

-I will check the exhaust 
-I use Dino Castrol 20w40 (same as #1 for the last 85k of her life)
-I was going to check output on the o2 - it was crimped but should be
right - I will double check - also the exaust was off of the car for over
a year, so I will re-check the connection under the cruise control
diaphram.
-Seems to run at the right temp - both on the gauge and under the hood.
-I have already been through a few tanks of gas - and each tank saw it's
share of redlines in the WV mountains - woo hoo

        You guys are great - I can't wait to try all of this stuff.
