[V8] Coolant Guage wackyness

I have only seen the temp gauge peg when I shut off the car. I would
sometimes cycle the ignition to get it to rest at the right spot, but after
a while I just ignored it. The temp/fuel gauge conspiracy soon followed. I
have no idea if there's any relationship between the two issues though.
