Can't confirm the water pump. Drawing used in ETKA is the same for all the V8s. The numbers vary some for 1995 on up. The 1990-94 V8 number is 077 121 004GX. The part number for the pump kit including the gasket in later versions is similar to the last half of the number you have.

I'd replace the CV joints unless the body of the axle is damaged in some way. That, to me would be better than buying someone's "rebuilt" axle assemblies. You never know what's in them. New CV joints are all-new.

V8 engine and tranny mounts are pretty pricey.

Quick question: The water pump that was sent to me is part
#077.121.004G-077.121.004F. The box says it is for a 95 and up
A8\Avant\Quattro 3.7 95 and up or S8 Quattro 4.2 97 and Up. The parts
store swears this is the water pump for the 3.6 90 V8. Can someone
please confirm or deny this? I am worried because if this is not the
right part and my mechanic does not get this done this weekend the car
will sit for another month and I just cannot afford that. Anyone's help
on this is appreciated.

I am in need of half axles but was told it is easier to just replace the
CV joints. Mine are clicking like crazy and it would seem that it would
be better to replace the half axles? Opinions please.
