Yeah, I 100% agree with this theroy. However, my original line of
questioning came from, WHY does this happen to the V8 and not ANY other car
I have EVER owned? Doesn't seem to matter if it's a 350 Chevy, 460 Ford, 5
Cyl Audi, Air cooled VW, I can start and stop those cars to my heart
content and they will always restart again. I would think that any of these
car would have a rich "cycle" on start up and the same
unburnt-fuel-in-the-chamber theroy applies.
I am not saying that I DO that or that I want to do that, I'm just saying
that it CAN be done in EVERY car I have owned EXCEPT the V8. Why?
Ben

As listers have mentioned....the car runs rich at
startup...then you shut down....then you introduce
another rich startup.....gas in the chamber soaking
the plugs.
Mystery solved :-)?
